Leroy Seafood Group had a strong fourth quarter in 2018, despite struggling with the downgrading of trout and continuing challenges in the Norwegian whitefish processing sector.
Earnings before interest, tax, amortization and demortization (EBITDA) were up 23 percent year on year to NOK 1.1 billion (€112.2 million/$127.6 million) in the quarter while revenues rose 17 percent to NOK 5.3 billion (€540.6 million/$614.8 million).
The group harvested a total of 49,000 metric tons gutted weight of salmon and trout in the fourth quarter of 2018, up 17 percent from the same period in 2017.
