The short- and medium-term strategy of Iceland Seafood International (ISI) will be to get a stronger position in Southern Europe, Bjarni Armannsson, the company’s new CEO, told IntraFish.

Armannsson is taking over the top position from Helgi Eiriksson, who stepped down this week as ISI CEO after nine years in the role.

Over the coming months, the company has a very strong strategy to grow and consolidate in existing markets, especially Southern Europe, Armannsson said.
