We tried it: Young’s new cod fillets unlikely to cause a stir in the frozen aisle

This week, IntraFish Journalists Dominic Welling and Lola Navarro tried out some more of Young’s Seafood’s latest frozen product offerings, and this time it was the company’s “Lightly Battered Chunky Cod Fillets”, which became available in Asda supermarkets from June.

The 250-gram pack, which contains two portions/servings, retails for £4 (€4.50/$5.30).

According to Young’s, the product meets the consumer need for a premium, chunkier product, targeting both discerning "foodie" shoppers, and smaller households, offered in a two per pack format.
