A company targeting land-based Arctic charr production in Norway is soliciting investors to get its operations to a commercial scale.

The facility to be located in Rendalen, Norway, sits on a 10-acre site and has all permitting in place, including a production license and plans for a facility to produce between 1,000-1,500 metric tons annually, according to the company.

“Our goal is to become the driving force for rural land-based fish farming, which will form the basis of a new industry for the inland county of Hedmark,” said Kjell Karlsen, managing director of Rendalsfisk.
