The owners of US seafood companies Orca Bay Seafoods, Inc. and Odyssey Foods, LLC are merging the two businesses into a newly formed company.
Sealaska Corporation, which acquired a majority interest in Odyssey earlier this year, and Tokusui Corporation of America, the long-time owner of Orca Bay, said in a joint press release the merger will result in greater efficiencies and economies of scale and enhance the product mix available to customers.
Earlier this year, Juneau, Alaska-based Sealaska took over the majority stake of Seattle-based Odyssey Enterprises.
