Sanctions force Russian whitefish giant Norebo to change its fleet renewal plans

The company will no longer build four of the 10 trawlers it ordered in return for investment quotas at St. Petersburg-based shipyard Severnaya Verf.

The Kapitan Sokolov, the first in a series of 10 factory trawlers, was built by Severnaya Verf for Norebo and is designed to fish cod and haddock in the North Atlantic.
