Mowi, the world's largest salmon producer, will have to pay the former managing director of its Ireland division NOK 1.1 million (€102,039/$107,512) plus interest and legal costs after losing a case against its former executive.

Jan Feenstra sued the company claiming he missed out on millions of Norwegian kroner after he was unable to redeem stock options during a notice period following his resignation and ultimate departure.

A notice period is the time between the date of an employee's resignation and the last day of his or her employment.
