Norway's exports of seafood to Vietnam are growing rapidly and are expected to surpass exports to Thailand, according to a new report from the Norwegian Seafood Council.

Vietnam has transformed from a processing country for seafood to a major consumer market, with Atlantic salmon in particular seeing a 20 percent annual increase in consumption over the past five years.

In the first 11 months of 2022, Norway exported 16,000 metric tons of Atlantic salmon to Vietnam, an increase of 38 percent over the past two years.
