Chilean salmon production is returning to normal after truckers blocked highways in the south American nation last week in a dispute over soaring fuel prices.

The Chilean Salmon Council

The Chilean Salmon Council trade association represents five leading salmon-producing companies in Chile: AquaChile, Cermaq, Mowi, Salmones Aysén and Australis Seafoods, which account for around 52 percent of the south American nation's production.

The Chile Salmon Council earlier issued a warning that if the truckers' actions continued, timelines for putting fish in cages, harvesting, and delivering to customers, particularly to those overseas, would be compromised after the blockade began on Thursday.
