Hakon Andre Berg has resigned from his position as CEO of land-based salmon farmer Salmon Evolution.
The board of directors has appointed CFO Trond Hakon Schaug-Pettersen as interim CEO.
"It's obviously very sad to leave such an amazing company," Berg told IntraFish.
"But I had to make certain priorities and other matters have now become more important."
Berg noted he is faced with a situation that will lead to him and his family relocating.
"With the pace Salmon Evolution is developing, it cannot be led from a distance."
