Dutch feed giant Nutreco’s investment arm hopes to close one more investment before the end of this year, according to Erik Tveteraas, investment director at the NuFrontier division.

NuFrontier, which was set up in 2017, typically makes two to three investments per year. So far this year, it has invested in Norwegian land-based salmon company Andfjord Salmon and acquired a majority stake in India-based shrimp group Eruvaka after having been a minority investor since 2018.

The group's mandate is focused on nutrition, health, precision farming, aquaculture farming systems and alternative proteins, but beyond those criteria, the division is free to list in any type of group from startups to growth-stage companies.
