Norway-based Biomar, one of the world's largest salmon feed producers, is seeing a price peak for its feed ingredients, Biomar CEO Carlos Diaz said at a recent capital markets day in Norway.
COVID and Ukraine have led to unprecedented disruptions in raw material supply for the feed sector. Given that feed makes use 50-60 percent of aquaculture costs, "this is clearly challenging," he added.
