New Zealand seafood heavyweight Sanford revealed further recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in its third quarter results, but is still suffering the constraints of strict immigration laws in its efforts to meet demand.

Sales volume for the company, which has arms in fishing, aquaculture and processing, rose 14.4 percent year-on-year, with inventory levels falling to their lowest in three years, reflecting strong demand.

Its fishing division, still the mainstay of Sanford's business, saw the most improvement, with a 16.6
