St. Petersburg-based Severnaya Verf and the Admiralty Shipyards on July 8 handed over three new fishing vessels ordered by whitefish giants Norebo Group, Russian Fishery Company (RFC) and Virma through the state investment quota program.
The Kapitan Sokolov, the first in a series of 10 factory trawlers, was built by Severnaya Verf for Norebo and is designed to fish cod and haddock in the North Atlantic.
