Icelandic fishing giant Sildarvinnslan is planning to buy fellow fishing company Visir for ISK 31 billion (€222.2 million/$225.2 million), strengthening its operations in Grindavik, Iceland, the companies announced July 10.

The purchase price of the share capital is ISK 20 billion (€143.4 million/$145.3 million) and interest-bearing debt of Visir amounts to ISK 11 billion (€78.9 million/$79.9 million).

Cash accounts for 30 percent of the purchase price and 70 percent will be in shares in Sildarvinnslan.
