Sustainable Shrimp Partnership (SSP) producers have signed a deal with supermarket retailer Jumbo in Chile.
As part of the agreement, SSP-approved premium shrimp will be available under Cuisine & Co brand in Jumbo stores, online and through home delivery.
SSP shrimp are stamped with a QR code allowing Chilean consumers to scan and access key information on their shrimp’s journey from farm to fork using a traceability app connected to traceability platform IBM Food Trust through blockchain technology.
