Luxembourg-based private equity fund Ocean 14 Capital has made its first investment, acquiring a controlling stake in Singapore-based shrimp breeding and genetics group SyAqua.
Ocean 14 Capital acquired an undisclosed majority share in the company.
SyAqua, who counts Regal Springs investor Golden Springs Group as another key shareholder, works with shrimp farmers to help improve their sustainability efforts and financial performance, Ocean 14 Capital Chief Investment Officer Francisco Saraiva Gomes told IntraFish.
