UK-based seafood processor Hilton Seafood is appointing Andre van der Padt as its new managing director, the company confirmed to IntraFish.

Van der Padt is the current CEO of Dutch Seafood Company, which does business under the Foppen name, and was acquired by Hilton in December.

"We have taken the decision to combine the capabilities of our UK Seafood business and Foppen," said a spokesperson for Hilton Food Group.

Van der Padt was appointed CEO of the Dutch Seafood Company in June 2018 when the company was formed through the merger of two of the Netherlands' biggest seafood processors: shrimp giant Klaas Puul and Costco salmon supplier Foppen, one of Europe's biggest salmon processors.
