Dutch seafood giant Cornelis Vrolijk has appointed Niels Bontje as managing director of seafood.
Bontje spent more than seven years as business acceleration director of plant protein at Nomad Foods and was general manager at Iglo Seafoods for four years until late 2019, following a year as sales director.
Over the past year Bontje has worked in a self-employed consulting role.
"Looking forward to support the vision for sustainable fishing and work together with the fabulous team of Cornelis Vrolijk to establish a strong position in seafood and strong partnerships with our retail and foodservice partners," Bontje said in post on his Linkedin page.
