The top executive at Greek seabass and seabream producer Kefalonia Fisheries says its new ownership gives it the size and scope it needs to push deeper into overseas markets and develop its value-added capability.

Vigo, Spain-based Grupo Profand, which acquired a majority stake in Kefalonia in March, will help the Greek group boost its presence in markets such as the United States and leverage its extensive processing and value-added capacity to diversify the Greek firm's product range, Kefalonia CEO Lara Barazi-Yeroulanos told IntraFish.
