Global seafood giant, Thai Union Group has appointed Volker Buttel as the new CEO of its German subsidiary Rugen Fisch.
He will take over as CEO from Jens Vogler on May 9.
Buttel will continue the integration of Rugen Fisch into the Thai Union organization, and be responsible for strengthening its competitive position in Germany.
He joins from northern German beverage company Hansa-Heemann, where he was responsible for marketing and sales.
Before that, he was responsible for domestic and international sales at Kuhne, and prior to that, he worked at Coca-Cola and Apollinaris & Schweppes.
