Russia's invasion of Ukraine, now moving into its second month, continues to wreak havoc on global seafood trade.

Sildarvinnslan, one of Iceland's largest groundfish and pelagic suppliers, is the latest company to be impacted. The company recalled a vessel loaded with €9 million ($9.9 million) in fish cargo headed for the Ukrainian city of Odesa.

Sildarvinnslan CEO Gunnthor Ingvason told IntraFish the company had a full shipment of fish destined for the customers in the country but was forced to turn the vessel around because of the growing violence.
