Sofina Foods, the Canadian owner of processors Young's Seafood in the UK and Greenland Seafood in Germany, announced a management reshuffle that puts a new executive on top of the group's entire seafood operations.

William Duncanson has been named chief operations officer (COO) of seafood at the group, a newly created role that will oversee seafood operations across the company in Europe, according to a memo released by Sofina Chairman and CEO Michael Latifi.

Duncanson, who will report to Young's Seafood CEO Simon Smith, joined Young's Seafood as operations director in 2019 from tenures at 2 Sisters Food Group, Dawnfresh and Farne Seafoods.
