Norwegian halibut farmer Nordic Halibut fetched record-high average prices for its fish in the fourth quarter, as demand in the foodservice segment returned to normal, the group said.

The average sales price per kilogram for the fish reached an all-time high of NOK 138 (€13.80/$15.60), and lifted the fledgling company's sales to NOK 31 million (€3.1 million/$3.5 million) during the fourth quarter of 2021.

Strong demand for its products is expected to continue this year, and will likely outstrip supply the company said.
