The port congestion crisis in China, which has sparked soaring costs for seafood shipments over the past two years, is showing small signs of improvement, according to an executive with one of the world's largest shipping lines.

"China seems to be easing up a little bit," Thue Barfod, the global head of fish and seafood cargo at shipping company Maersk Line, said during IntraFish's first-ever digital event on container shipping and logistics.
