Prices for Norwegian cod are sharply higher than last year, and so far inshore fishermen are seeing no signs that buyers are paying less despite last year's loss of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) eco-label.

Norway's inshore cod fishery lost its MSC credentials in August, leaving roughly 264,000 metric tons of cod without the sustainability label, creating a major hole in the global supply of MSC-certified whitefish.
