Norwegian fresh salmon prices have moved up by at least NOK 4-5 (€0.39-0.49/$0.45-0.56) per kilogram as buyers battle over reduced numbers of available fish for delivery next week.
"There is no clear price picture, but large variations depending on whether it is in the north or south, what weight class it is, what day next week it is slaughtered, and whether it is to be flown or not," an exporter said.
The exporter expects less fish to be processed next week than this week, resulting in higher prices.
