The second in a series of four large fishing vessels built for Russian fisheries giant Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet (ATF) - a subsidiary of the North West Fishing Consortium (SZRK) - is on track to start its voyage to the Norwegian Sea, where she will conduct fishing trials.

On Dec. 6, the state flag of the Russian Federation was raised on the Norwegian Sea after the trawler was delivered to the company in October from St. Petersburg-based Vyborg shipyard.

“Norwegian Sea is expected to embark on its voyage to the Norwegian Sea in January following sea trials in the Baltic Sea,” Nikolai Nazarenko, deputy director for fleet development and operation at SZRK, told IntraFish, adding that the trawler will stop at a Norwegian port to get final adjustments on its way to the fishing ground.
