The logistics issues affecting supply chains are likely to impact the industry well into 2022, bringing further uncertainty to an already pressured market, according Klaus Nielsen, the top executive at Denmark-based Espersen, one of the world's largest whitefish processors.

The well-documented challenges with logistics and supply chains, which have been stifling the industry for the past couple of years since the onset of the pandemic, are not likely to be going away soon, Nielsen told IntraFish.

“It’s going to be a very interesting year we are going into – it’s not looking like there is going to be any immediate easing of logistical constraints,” he said.
