The head of Russia’s federal fishery agency is confident the country will have the most sophisticated and efficient fishing fleet in the world, thanks to the government's fleet renewal program and the ongoing investment quota program.
Rosrybolovstvo Director Ilya Shestakov told the audience at the fourth Global Fishery Forum in Saint Petersburg, Russia, last week that the program had been a success, not only for the harvesting sector but also for the construction and modernization of the shore-based processing sector as well.
