A court hearing has been set for on or around Sept. 17 to decide on the Alaska pollock industry's request for injunctive relief against a barrage of fines imposed on the sector by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

In the latest update in a situation that threatens supplies of Alaska pollock to markets, court documents show an expedited hearing has been granted by a US District Court in Anchorage where American Seafoods-owned shipping firms Kloosterboer International and Alaska Reefer Management brought a case last week to bring a temporary halt to the fines, which to date amount to more than $350 million.
