Land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire announced Sunday that operations at its Miami facility were now back to normal, after an oxygen shortage threatened production and sent its share price reeling late last month.

In response to a shortage of liquid oxygen (LOX) in the US market and potential negative effects on the operations of the company's farm, Atlantic Sapphire management took precautionary measures both to reduce its oxygen consumption and to engage in alternative supply sources, in order to avoid putting its biomass health at risk, it said.
