Silicon Valley-based startup NovoNutrients announced it has raised $4.7 million (€4 million) in investment, led by Hong Kong-based global venture firm, Happiness Capital.

The company, which is fast tracking its search for sustainable solutions to nutrition challenges in the aquaculture industry, previously raised $4.3 million (€3.6 million) in venture backing, as well as a multiple of that in non-dilutive, corporate project funding commitments.

NovoNutrients makes protein-rich aquatic and animal feed ingredients from waste carbon dioxide, hydrogen and single-cell bacteria.
