Icelandic fishing giant Samherji’s new $370 million land-based salmon farming operation has been a project 15 years in the making, and now the time is right to scale up and start making a real profit, Jon Kjartan Jonsson, managing director at the group’s fish farming subsidiary Samherji Fiskeldi, told IntraFish.
