One of the first companies in the world to farm salmon is finally headed in the direction of so many of its larger rivals: to the public markets.

Family-owned group Masoval, formerly Masoval Fiskeoppdrett, first began farming nearly 50 years ago, and remains family owned and is headed up by Chairman Lars Masoval -- the son of founder Karsten Masoval.

The Froya, Norway-based group plans on listing on the Euronext Growth next week, giving it more ready access to capital and the opportunity to continue a growth strategy it launched last year.
