Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) reported operational earning before interest and taxes (EBIT) of NOK 60 million (€6 million/$7.3 million) for the first quarter of 2021, a drop of 20 percent compared with the same period a year ago. EBIT per kilo sank 60 percent to NOK 6.40 (€0.64/$0.77).

The group said it was “not satisfied” with the production costs during the quarter, which were the main cause of the dip in earnings.
