The seafood division of Japanese conglomerate Nichimo is teaming with Kyushu Electric Power, West Japan Plant Industry and Ido-based Salmon Farm to build a land-based salmon farming operation at the site of Kyushu's Buzen Power Station in Japan's Fukuoka prefecture.

The farm, proposed for a 5,000 square-meter site, will have annual production capacity of about 300 metric tons, making it the largest in Kyushu.
