Norwegian salmon prices have moved higher again, continuing the past several weeks' market fluctuations, but some market players say last week's decline was "an overreaction."

Last week, companies hit by infectious salmon anemia (ISA) disease were forced to harvest fish early, putting an abundance of smaller 2-5 kg fish onto the market at prices as low as NOK 50 (€4.99/$5.98).

This Friday, prices are well up in the NOK 60s (€5.97/$7.21) range, however, and the largest fish now is selling for more than NOK 70 (€7.46/$9.00)/kg.
