“I was putting a finer point on it, so to speak, when I was interviewed by the Norwegian broadcasting corporation (NRK),” Harald Arnesen, a professor based in the heart and lung centre of the Ulleval University Hospital, in Norway, told IntraFish.

“Farmed salmon is becoming a floating vegetable,” Arnesen had told NRK.

The NRK television program “Forbrukerinspektorene” (Consumer Inspectors) caused quite a stir in the Norwegian salmon community Norway.

The program has researched how much of the healthy omega 3 fat is present in farmed salmon.
