On Aug. 26, IntraFish reported that Russia had barred imports from four Norwegian slaughterhouses after a Russian inspector slammed their sanitary records.
The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (NFSA) has since inspected all the slaughterhouses. At one of them, a report shows that it found gross breaches of regulations.
One of the breaches found was the fish fallen onto the floor was being thrown back onto the production line. This is a discovery that the NFSA also made at another slaughterhouse.
The NFSA consider this to be a highly serious breach of regulations.
