A new study identifying the "most favorable" countries for expanded consumption of US-caught Alaska pollock shows some surprising opportunities for the fish, both overseas and domestically.

The study, conducted by the Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) in partnership with McKinley Research Group, identified key areas for pollock suppliers to invest, both in the near-term, and as far forward as 2040.

Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers CEO Craig Morris said the research is a major step forward for the industry's expansion plans, identifying not only the countries, but where companies can get the highest return on investment.
