Trident Seafoods is recalling its Gordon Choice Imitation Crab Supreme Style product, noting it may contain undeclared egg whites.
The product could be deadly to those with an allergic reaction if they consume the products, according to the company.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered through internal product and label review that the product, which contains egg whites, was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of eggs.
The product subject to the recall was distributed in the following US states: Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and West Virginia through Gordon Food Service distribution and Gordon Food Service Stores.
The product is packed in vacuum-sealed plastic 40-ounce packages.
