The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) earlier this week awarded Trident Seafoods and OBI Seafoods salmon contracts worth nearly $31 million (€26.1 million).
Trident Seafoods and OBI Seafoods divvied up an Alaska canned pink salmon contract worth nearly $30 million (€25.3 million). OBI Seafoods was awarded $13.6 million (€11.5 million) to distribute 186,962 cases of canned, 14.75-ounce pink salmon to various cities around the United States. Trident received the rest of the contract award to distribute 228,000 cases nationwide.
