The Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) announced Monday it began a 10-day trip to China to explore future opportunities in what it described as a "critical export market."
The eight industry leaders for US pollock on the trip include Jeffrey Welbourn and William Maio of Trident Seafoods; Margery Schelling and Jostein Rortveit from American Seafoods; Jason Martin from Golden Alaska Seafood; Jacob Christensen from Arctic Storm Holding Company; and Jeffery Kauffman from the Central Bering Sea Fishermen’s Association.
