The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded American Seafoods and Trident Seafoods pollock contracts worth roughly $10 million (€9.4 million) to supply more than 3.2 million pounds of frozen Alaska pollock products to child nutrition and other related domestic food assistance programs around the United States.

Seattle-based Trident Seafoods was granted the majority of the contract earlier this week. The company will be paid nearly $9.7 million (€9.2 million) to provide programs around the country with a little over 3 million pounds of both frozen pollock fillets and fish sticks.
