John West, the Thai Union-owned UK canned seafood brand, launched a salmon fridge pot in hopes of disrupting the long-stagnant canned salmon category.
The pot, which contains 128 grams of Alaska pink salmon, will be sold at UK retailer Morrisons for £3.00 (€3.50/$4.17) beginning mid-March.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given canned seafood a boost as consumers spend time at home under lockdowns and look for more shelf-stable options.
