UK-based seafood supplier Sykes Seafood reported an uptick in seafood sales during August and September thanks to its new e-commerce website and the country's "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme.

Sykes Seafood launched its online platform on Sept. 9, a project that was already in the works for 18 months but partly accelerated by the coronavirus pandemic.

"Existing customers that have transacted on it found it really simple to use and transparent how we have priced our products on the website," Sykes Seafood Purchasing Director Dan Wright told IntraFish.
