Thanks to a surge in salmon shipments, Norwegian seafood exports reached record-breaking levels in March, reversing export value declines in January and February.

Norway exported seafood worth NOK 10.9 billion (€1.1 billion/$1.3 billion) in March -- an increase in value of 13.5 percent, compared with the same month last year.

“Never before has the value of Norwegian seafood exports been higher in March than in 2021,” said the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).
