Norwegian seafood companies are already facing difficulties caused by the crisis unfolding in Ukraine, including Norwegian salmon farming giant SalMar and Austevoll Seafood joint venture Pelagia.

SalMar, one of Norway's largest salmon farming companies, had fish cargo on its way to the country, but the shipments were turned around just prior to Russia launching its invasion.

"We took action in advance and sent the trucks to other markets before they reached the border," CEO and owner Gustav Witzoe told IntraFish sister publication DN.
