Russian whitefish giant Russian Fishery Company (RFC) signed an agreement with COFCO Imported Foods -- a subsidiary of Chinese state-owned China Oil and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO) -- to develop and promote sales of RFC’s pollock fillets and surimi in the Chinese market.

The deal was signed by Saveliy Karpukhin, first deputy general director of RFC and Tianxu Bai, general manager of COFCO Far East, which is designed to help companies import Russian food, including seafood.

RFC will become a strategic supplier of high-quality, processed pollock fillets and surimi for COFCO.
